Next wendsday 15 August the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador will launch  the call 'Emprende Turismo', an initiative that will grant and award the best and most innovative tourist activities at national level. 
'Emprende Turismo' aims to develop and consolidate new or existing tourism ventures or products that contribute to the strengthening and diversification of tourist attractions in Ecuador, to position it as a preferred destination for its exceptional cultural and natural diversity.

The contest will be held throughout the country and will have as main axis of action the cities of Quito, Cuenca and Manta. The Ministry of Tourism will work hand in hand with the Agency of Economic Promotion ConQuito in order to identify and strengthen business ventures that improve the experience of visitors and sustainable tourism in Ecuador.
The call is open to Ecuadorians and foreigners, with permanent residence in Ecuador. The main requirement is to have a project in tourism activities such as: food and beverage services, accommodation service, intermediation, tour operators, tourist transport, related to experiences in tourism or sustainable tourism aimed to generate economic and socio-environmental development.
it is also essential that the enterprises comply with differentiation with respect to the tourist services that already exist in the Ecuador.
